Openwork netted necklace – choker for a romantique lady with an amazingly beautiful natural Baltic Amber cabochon
“What is it, to give forgiveness and to ask for forgiveness?” Those were my thoughts when I was working on this necklace. I wanted to show in this piece the whole idea of forgiveness, of a man trying to go on the road shown by Christ. It is senseless to ask for forgiveness without the fruit of repentance. We have to think, “what is our guilt in front of this man,” and we have to decide to change that. Then we need to ask for forgiveness not with the thought to just be free from our past, but with new life in new relationships with those people who were offended and humiliated by us earlier.
This necklace is a transformer; there are about 15 different ways of wearing it. The part with the humming-bird is removable, has different beaded clips from two sides: one in a shape of a flower and another one in a shape of twisted branch of a tree.
This necklace was made by motif of P.Bajov’s fairy-tale “The Stone Flower.” I wanted to express the attraction and intangibility of the mythical stone flower, whose living beauty was impossible for Danila, the rock-carving master, to make out of malachite. In my necklace you can see the Malachite flower, turning into the difficult to catch butterfly.
